Meet your match. Your Adoption Representative will work with you to set up a showing appointment to meet a potential match. This is also considered part of the interview process and generally takes place at your home. These showings usually last about 90 minutes and should be attended by everyone who will be living with the greyhound, including other dogs or cats if applicable.
In most cases the adoption send home will take place at the same time as the showing. Sometimes a dog may still require additional vetting or follow-up care in which case the adoption would be completed at a later date. The time period between first meeting and send home depends on the individual dog. But most adoptions will take place on the same day you meet the hound.
Welcome home your new family member. The adoption most often takes place at the same time as the first showing. During the adoption you will receive demonstrations regarding the care of your greyhound, and you will sign the Conditions of Ownership adoption contract. Payment will also be collected at the time you sign the contract.
Standard Adoption - $350 before June 1, 2017; $450 after June 1, 2017 (payable by Check or via PayPal) includes:

Join Our Community. Adopting a greyhound is just the first step to becoming involved with a community of greyhound lovers who share a wonderful common bond through our hounds. Our organization works hard to bring together our members by hosting a variety of events that are focused on building community within our group as well as raising awareness and funds for soon-to-be retired hounds. We are an active and growing community, and we hope that you will remain a part of it for many years to come.
Socialize Your Greyhound. We provide many socialization opportunities at special events, Meet & Greets and walks throughout the year for you and your greyhound to get out and meet other greyhounds and owners. Remember, your dog has grown up around other greyhounds and they really do enjoy each others company.
